A place to unwind.
Founded in 2019, Camp Polaris is at the beginning of its journey. Born from a lack of programming geared towards exceptional youth, Camp Polaris was founded to fill a need for families that are experiencing a lack of supportive programs centred around the diverse needs of their family. The summer of 2019 will see Camp Polaris’ first autism family support retreats and we welcome you to check out our EXPERIENCE page to find out more about programming. With one on one support for each autistic family member we aim to provide recreational programming that includes family respite, and a chance for family connection while participating in a weekend retreat that meets your specific needs.
Our mission is to provide barrier-free access to outdoor recreational activities that are centred in diversity, inclusion and support. Camp Polaris strives to provide low cost programming to families who are already heavily burdened by lack of funded care and support for their family member. We rely on donations and appreciate your generous support. Every dollar donated goes directly into Camp Polaris and any additional overhead is funded by the Evans family. Our hope that is through one on one support, peer networking, and intentionally designed inclusive activities, families will leave their weekend retreats feeling connected, recharged and with memories that will last a lifetime!
